:hismiley: and a big :welcome: aboard to SBt.

I don't thinking will be long before your identity is up:avatar: so I'll spill the beans. We have Steve Beattie of Steve Beattie Developments with us here. I have as many will know purchased a few of Steve's kits and they await their fate in the queue with the others.

Great to have you on board Steve. Please let the rest of the forum know what you have been up to in your modelling career. As well as your kits, one thing that maybe of particular interest to many kit builders is the documentation and cataloguing of the various prototype drawings that you can take credit for.

We do have a sales and want section in the forum and we plan to be developing separate web pages for members in the future as well. It's all in it's infancy as yet but it may be something of interest to you as we go forward.

Again, welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy your stay with us. Any particular questions ..... fire away or drop me a PM.

    Cheers

    Toto

    Hi Keith,

On visiting Steve's website I had found out that he has had a major part in saving many prototype drawings of various loco types from what probably would have been oblivion. I think that could be invaluable to kit and scratch builders if it's possible to get access to copies of these. I'll be interested to see just what the reality of that may be. What a resource !

Thank you and it's good to be here!

Lot's of interesting stuff coming out so please bookmark my website: www.sbtdevelopments.com and if you have anything specific you'd like - please contact me.

My professional CV runs into 3 pages and that's the condensed version - my modelling one runs into 300! But first and foremost I am a model-maker and the products I develop and sell are one's I wanted myself, but could not afford to buy or just weren't available.

A class 47 would not go amiss. Neither would a class 31. :avatar:

:welcome: Steve. Anything on your previous builds would be helpful. We have a kit section they could be dropped into. ( as time permits of course ). I've been teasing the guys with some of your kits but I'm not ready to build them yet. I have a few simpler kits I need to do to hone my soldering skills first so any photo's of completed models would be fantastic.

We seem to have an expanding interest in kit building, mainly steam at the moment but I'm sure your presence will encourage a few of the diesel heads out into the open.

We all appreciate that you will be a busy man between one thing and another so Again, whenever you get the chance.

    Cheers for now

    Hi Steve :hismiley:,

I've booked marked you site and follow video builds you have done. Are you going to re-release the class 24 and 25/1 kits again because I would be very interested on doing 25058 which is the one that came over the City Road bridge parapet wall on North West Yard in 1987 and also long time Stoke resident 24081 which was a regular on the Oakamoor sand working. Anything like that at some point would be great but for now I'm committed to the next builds which are a Duchess and a Brit.

    cheers York Paul

I don't know of any video's I've done but 24 081 Is a favourite of mine as it was once allocated to Watford Shed (1C). I do have a new Resin bodied Cl 24 kit reduced in price up on eBay I could do a deal on. Further details via the contact form on the Web Site.

As for the 24's that became the early 25's I just need to sort the headcode box. Must do as there's no footy until the weekend.

I'm probably getting mixed up... I'm sure I saw a build of the 24 as an etched brass body kit but thinking again it could have been on another forum. Anyway here is the next diesel I'd like to do but not before I've finished some steamers first. 25058 came to grief with 25213 at Stoke in 1986.

Not a great place to park. The 25 numbering series is confusing at it doesn't follow the sub-class. What you're seeing there is a 25/1

I have a 24/0 (24 081) Etch brass kit in stock which I could do you a deal on I'm sure - I deleted these kits in favour of the resin ones as modellers wanted something cheaper and less detailed. If you contact me via the site I'll send you the instructions so you can see the build process.
