There was a signalman on the NSR worked at Bolton’s Works, Froghall. He was called Peg Leg Johnson as he also lost both his legs. No babbooon though, but plenty of monkeys now on the Churnet Valley!
One of my great-grandfathers was a signalman at Whitburn, on the North British Railway. Does that mean I shouldn't watch it either?
