Something I’ve been working on for years, but tonight I did something different again. Having drawn my own wagon top and ends to convert the Hornby PGA to a PAA, I also had to create my own art work. I did this a number of years ago, but with the real item going in to preservation, I’ve been able to correct a few details prior to creating the transfers.

So, fresh out the paint shops (but still needing some touching up) is the WBB Minerals PAA..as WBB30001 (which sadly I saw in the middle of being cut up at Booths last April when we preserved our example)

And here is the survivor at Cheddleton with 47524.

Nice Andy but IMHO, the only thing that spoils it, are those HUGE couplings.....

I blame Hornby for that. There is no way I’m going 3 link. Too much to change. Just a compromise I have to live with like the gauge being wrong. :scratchchin:

Thanks Kevin - it’s taken a number of years to get this far. Especially when compared to the original scratch built model.

I now need to crack on as I have 2 people asking me for a rake of around 15 each!

The "B" version top - slightly more refined. (And accurate) So, from the original, its had new brake wheels, new end supports, new roof, the original air cylinder and distributor were cut away (and replaced by someone elses fantastic model - I cant take credit for that part) and a new ladder.

And then there was the open top version… Which decided to take a tumble off my shelf the other day and broke before I could paint it - A new print is on the cards come pay day.
