Hi, Long time no post, only because I've been tied up with other stuff such as sub-titling work for Italian TV and club commitments. My 3d project is on-going. Anyway... I have just acquired the subject kit from someone at my club in Inverness who had inherited it a long time ago. The main body shell is partly assembled. Most of the etched brass parts have been separated from the frets, which does not help. Some parts have been folded into shape (e.g. mini snow ploughs). A bag with white metal parts is still unopened. There are other bits and pieces including wheels, motors and gears. Some of the lost wax brass castings leave a lot to be desired (i.e. buffer heads). Even Fox transfers are included in the box. Now, I am not an O gauge modeller. This Class 26 is a diversion from my usual stuff. My main problem is that there ain't any instructions with the kit. Does anyone have a suitable set of assembly instructions for this kit, please? I'm sure it will end up as a fine model. And you wouldn't believe how much (or how little) I paid for it. Many thanks Tom
I'm not that conversant with those RJH products so probably shouldn't answer but in my experience (having previously purchased a Hymek diesel kit from a different supplier those build instructions were scant to say the least. I have seen the method of assembly for inner bogies and the similarity between RJH and PRMRP is uncanny... I guess that back in the day such kits were the best one could get in O Gauge for the early 1980 - 90's. Post up a few pictures and we will see if we can make sense of what you have in the box.
The cahhis weould be standard box shape that folds up and laps over the other end. This I remember allows for various wheel bases. The rest is quite simple.
