As posted else where, it looks like on 24th Aug Rapio trains is about to announce the USATC 2-8-0 S160. A total of 2,120 were built and they worked on railroads across much of the world, including Africa, Asia, all of Europe and South America. Build in the US to the UK loading gauge by Alco, Baldwin and Lima, they also ended up working as far afield as China and Hungary. Some are even still running today, not including the ones preserved in the UK (5 complete and 3 in parts at Ruddington), 8 in the US (not all working) and in total 33 worldwide! they have previously been available in HO, so for those modelling OO, this US version of our 8F will be something different, wether modelling the war era or preservation.
