A warm to the forum, glad you decided to join us, I'm sure you'll find your visits fun as well as helpful. We do like to blether and have been known to do the occational bit of modelling as well. As Toto has said, settle in and when your comfortable, please introduce yourself to the forum, tell us a bit about you and your modelling. Once again welcome Paul
G'day GP7, Welcome aboard from a wintry Sydney. Would I be correct to say that you model US outline, hence your name ?? Have a good look around, read up, get involved and if you have questions, just ask. We are all here to help. If your starting out, you have come to a good place for inspiration. If you are a committed modeller, I'll definitely be looking forward to what you have to offer. Enjoy your stay. Cheers, Gary.
Hi, If you are based in the USA, let us know. Its always good to have an idea of the geography of our members. cheers toto
Thanks everybody. You all know me as BCDR from the other forum. These days I'm primarily an HO modeler (hence the moniker GP7), it's tough doing UK outline in the USA (it was better in Canada) so I went over a few years ago. I have a few boxes of OO/EM stock and some track/track components, so I still dabble (shelf layouts/test tracks). Enough I think for a plank layout in EM though..... Nigel
Hi Nigel - welcome aboard You're new here - you'll learn not make rash statement like "enough for a plank", it's almost written in blood you're going to make one , you know what Toto's like, as enthusiastic as a collie. Paul
Hi Paul, Too late, too late....the plank is almost built. Track plan next. Just needs a few dowels to make sure as it's a simple butt-joint construction. Nigel
Hi Nigel, Looking forward to some piccies. Your baseboards sound nice and simple. I have half a ton of ironmongery to hold mine together. Sounds like you are gifted with some good wood working skills. Cheers Toto Ps ...... Good luck in the competition with your entry.
