As for changing the spark plugs in a jet engine.........Oh dear.

I see I`m going to have to have a long talk to Toto about real life in Australia and also about the differences between internal combustion engines and jet engines.........Oh boy...

Just need British Airways to get their act together now..!!!!.....yes we are flying BA.

Their whole system Worldwide is down. Hopefully by tomorrow things will be back to normal.

Speaking of leaving........we`re not leaving on time. The BA fiasco has impacted us and our flight has been cancelled. We have been re-booked for the next day.......so far.??????

I won`t be happy till I get on that plane!!!

Yes I guess we were lucky with our timing. If we were travelling earlier we could have been stuck, possibly at Heathrow, with luggage in limbo somewhere.

Once I found our flight for today was cancelled, I got onto our travel agent ( Flight Centre ). They have an emergency assistance help line. They also have better access to the system than we do.

The young guy there found that he could re-schedule us on exactly the same flight, one day later. I asked him if he thought that was a sound plan and he replied that it was best to get in early. So that`s what we did and we fly one day later.

It just means our time in Edinburgh is one day short, so we`ll have to get cracking once we get there.!!.......otherwise everything else is just the same thank goodness!!!.

Yes a stressful couple of days, but all is good now, so far, and we have been only slightly inconvenienced compared to some people in other parts of the world. We were fortunate our departure was not right in the middle of the melt down, but rather at the back end when remedial action was already underway. A young man named Dale, at Flight Centre, was instrumental in turning rubbish into Gold for us......Thanks Dale...

So I`ll see you guys on line sometime in the near future. I`m not sure of my posting capabilities whilst away, but if I can, I will do some updates.
