G`day Folks, Mrs. G told me the other day that she would like to share some of her Dolls House pics with you guys in keeping with the spirit of the Christmas competition. This is not an entry in the competition but simply the little lady sharing good will and the joy of Christmas season with you folks on the forum. Julie has been creating this dolls house in the image of a house she lived in as a child before her family emigrated to Australia in the 1960`s. It has been set up as close as possible to reflect the way the house was furnished and decorated with some artistic license thrown to cover any gaps in memory. So every year now it is decorated up for Christmas as the following pics will show. Julie`s younger brother in bed on Christmas eve being visited by Santa. And then onto Julie`s bedroom with even a fairy godmother to watch over her. And down in the living room watching TV. The dining room being set up for Christmas dinner. There we are folks.......Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Julie. http://www.clickThe Gormos
Fantastic. looks like a home ..... not just a house. A nice warm glow. Merry Christmas Julie. Hope Santa is good to you. cheers Toto & Lynne ( and Lulu )
Tell Mrs G that the house has come a long way since I saw it last and what a great job she has done. Oh, merry Christmas to you both. Cheers, Gary.

Wow! just as I remember as a child in the late 50's early 60's. The tv, the fire place, the decorations, nice one Julie. The only difference, we lived in a bungalow until 1964. Cheer's, Pete.

Congratulations goes out to both, if not all of you for taking part in this competition Ian, Gormo and Jimmy, well done. Jimmy, you have produced a stunning entry and Gormo, great to see what can be done in a relatively short time. Now only if I didn't plan a trip to the UK I would have taken part, as I had everything here to build a diorama except Santa.... For our next competition, it's loosely based on 'around the world in 6 days whilst eating Madras curries....' Cheers, Gary.
