Ian and a warm from Dundee Looking forward to hearing about yourself and your modelling adventures, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of interest within these pages. Once again welcome to the forum Paul
Hi Ian Jeffery and from sunny warm Spain get comfy grab a jar of your favourite tipple and join in a thread or 2 Ian vt
Hi - WOW. thanks for the warm welcome. I had a railway as a kid, and then a few years ago i got back in to it. I had to wait a full year before moving in to my new house before i could build a layout. The first weekend we moved in i put boards and a layout in the loft. since then it moved to the garage cause it was too hot, but sadly its back in the loft as i also love my garage space.... Since getting back into it, i have mostly been involved with arduinos and dcc. I run an online shop - www.dccinterface.com - but i'm not on here to sell - its more to say hello, and to help anyone who has one... I'm currently working on a touch screen for my turntable product, and hope to finish it soon so i can have a write up in Hornby Magazine. A good customer Bob has a thread on here - http://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?threads/kyle-of-lochalsh.1002/page-2 which features my turntable kit. I wanted to come on board just so i can help with any questions, and learn more what people want for their railway.
Hi Ian, Great start. There are a few interested in Arduinos so you could come in handy. I am sure folks will have a good look at your online shop as well. Look forward to seeing how your turntable project turns out. I have an O Gauge turntable that I will be looking to get going at some point. Cheers Toto
G'day Ian, A belated welcome to P1MRC. Plenty of interesting topics and modelling threads to keep your mind reading and working overtime. Enjoy the camaraderie and banter that is P1MRC. Cheers, Gary.
Thanks for the intro Ian ... 'hard dinna you know'...? ... 'ac/dcc' ...? ... I reckon there's a few here from the dark side having apoplectic fits at the mention of those words! ... eh Paul ... you'll fit in perfectly ... and don't worry those of us who haven't yet mastered the dark arts still like to watch magic.. enjoy!
