OK - I've got a bit of a mixed bag available here. I bought a Mainline GWR Mogul from E Bay as a non runner - and it was! The 2 stub shafts that the reduction drive gears fitted onto had broken (and that appears to be a common problem) and the motor mounting bracket had snapped off on one side. However, it was an excellent model - attempts to make it a free wheeler so it could be used for double heading proved to be a waste of time - too much friction all round. I have just purchased a Bachmann BR Black 43xx on the basis of hoping to swap the loco and tender bodies - and they fitted. There are some very minor differences on the tender chassis (e.g. not possible just to swap the wheels over as the axles are different lengths) but it all goes together. So, what I've got left is now available if anyone is interested. Bachman BR 43xx Mogul body with driver, including sprung buffers. Mainline 43xx tender chassis c/w weights and Bachmann BR tender body complete with fireman. There are sprung buffers on the tender but you will need to drill 2 x 2.5mm holes in the chassis if you want them to work. Set of 43xx Mainline wheels with axle drive gear, connecting rods and valve gear. Mainline main chassis - RH side u/s. Mainline chassis - piston block. Mainline underside with pony truck. Plus all necessary screws/spacers to assemble. Change of plan. Bought a bargain Bachmann chassis off E Bay this week, so the BR liveried version with the Mainline/Bachmann hybrid tender can hopefully be brought back to life. Just proves if you wait long enough something will turn up. The Mainline loco chassis bits will still be available for a short while if anyone is interested. Drc
