How many times did I try gluing the prow of scalescenes Barge together then had it move or open up slightly. Then I tried wrapping it in Teflon tape ( designed for sealing pipework threads ) Took a bit of thinking 'which way to wrap next' but it certainly held the card BUT Not the thread tape. Unfortunately the model is packed away somewhere and the after shot is badly blurred and not worth posting. But it did work Kevan
That is a great tip. Many times I have glued something and when coming back to it its either slipped or opened up. Corners of buildings or roofs are my nemesis Pete.
You can't beat rubber bands! Self forming to shape, self tensioning, multi wrap sets amount of tension, non harming to model, easy released, and if its a pointy cone shape, use a wrap in a figure of eight to stop it rolling off. You can even set the tension different on either side to "square up" a L or T shape!
