Thanks for the warm welcome Pete, Timbersurf, Gary and Rob.:hismiley:

How does anyone ever get any modelling done? :avatar:
I've been busy answering "Welcome" messages and posting evidence that I have been trying to be a modeller for the past few years. :giggle:

So, for now, let me say Thank you to all of those who have welcomed me to the group and those who will welcome me to the group after this post whom I may not have time to thank individually. ;)

    All the best, Cheers!
    Gene

:avatar::avatar::avatar: We did say it is a freindly forum. It'll calm down ......... Sometime in 2019. :avatar: You gave far too much away about yourself and your interests. Now everyone want sweat, blood and tears. ( in the nicest possible way of course ). Looking forward to following your journey. Once again ....... :welcome: Aboard.

    Cheers

    Toto

Hi Gene and also a late welcome aboard from sunny Sydney as my communication via internet has been sadly interrupted of late by a very incompetent Telstra. No internet, cable TV,etc for over a week! Anyway I am sure you will enjoy your time on PFM1. Has been a great adventure for me and certainly given me the impetus to make the most of this hobby and to get my layout moving again. So if you have any spare time, have a look at my Dargan layout. The extension (still in progress) in particular includes very many ideas freely offered by PFM1 members and I continue to be grateful for that ongoing assistance. Surprisingly I have also been able to offer a few helpful hints myself.
I do not see how you could get the impression that PFM1 was an OZ platform as I had been suspecting the opposite view that it is a UK platform. Just goes to show you how perceptions can differ. I suppose we just need the local OZ contingent to get off their collective seats and post more often. Hey I may be guilty a bit there so I had better start working on an update for Dargan!
Thanks for posting your video..I loved little 1902 sitting there patiently and then finally getting the call to duty. I am hoping to get my video abilities fine tuned so I can give folks a better appreciation of Dargan but that to me is just another dark art!

    keep up the good work,

    Cheers

    and happy modelling

    Richard

    G`day Gene,
Another late welcome to the forum from Gormo in sunny Sydney Australia.
I`m another Aussie who is not posting as much as I used to......I`m not doing much on my railway either, but what the heck.!!!.....it doesn`t matter.
What matters on this forum is the comradeship between members and there is plenty of that on here.
This forum is one of the good things about the internet. It brings people together and friendships have been formed because of it.
If you have a question, any question, just pop it up on the forum and somebody will have the knowledge to answer it for you.
Toto started this forum just before Christmas 2015. There were four of us who regularly conversed with Toto on another forum and we decided to join him on his venture into the unknown. So when all this started there were five members (2015).
If you check the front page we currently have 580 members.
We have always tried to encourage people in the hobby and tried to help wherever possible.
I guess the forum has a more open and relaxed approach to railway modelling than some others I`ve visited, so possibly that`s the appeal of it.?
We don`t completely understand the popularity of this forum, however we know enough to say that if it ain`t broke, don`t fix it.
So enjoy you membership with us.....this crazy band of international model railway nuts....:avatar:
