    industrial buildings sorted .. they're only flat relief but as this will be a playi ..? .. running layout rule 1 evoked .. first the retaining wall ..

    well just spent the morning; printing cutting gluing layering to give the factory buildings more depth ... after the first one was complete and looked ok on the cutting mat when placed upright on the layout the difference (with my eyesight) was negligible (they look more 3 dimensional than the photo suggests) so decided my time would be better spent on detailing (downpipes ladders etc) when I do the scenics … therefore c (cost) + e (effort) > set (satisfaction/enjoyment/tinto) = go to the pub its beer & footie day! 20180819_112150.jpg

    bit iof detailing done today (drainpipes and loading door) got to make some small funnels for top of pipes and a loading platform tomorrow then track laying

    definitely looks better with spaghetti .. ravioli just wouldn't have cut the mustard .. ? .. ? .. too much day time telly ..

    Coming together nicely Ian - gowan, you can open that special bottle of cheap red to celebrate, the bottle will come in handy, you could always model a bottle kiln :avatar:

    factory loading platform built .. factory end wall needed near boiler house then almost ready for the little folk ..

    Okay ... after a lot of consideration ... I have made a decision ... unfortunately due to various restrictions (available space, visitors, book writing etc) the plonk is dead! ... long live the plonk! ... becaus I am still keeping my mini 'wagon repair' plonk (see below)

    and I shall endeavor to complete my traverser .. size wise they are perfect for operating and storing in our apartment ...I willl of course continue entering the competitions and build the couple of kits I have (railbus and class something or other and others I shall purchase) it's a case of scaling down my ambition and doing what I really enjoy i.e; small projects. I will of course retain the baseboards buildings etc because who knows ...
