:avatar: a bit of a issue with this one ....... tender and wheels missing. not so good but I'm sure Ellis will come good there. He did with the de-streamlined Duchess. anyway ....... here is what is included. destructions as normal ....

and out of the box is .....

    the loco wheels

    some slaters couplings .....

    white metal etc .....

and some lost wax castings and more white metal .....

loco chassis and body frets ....

    more of the same ....

and last the preformed boiler .....

I'll let you know how I get on with the tender after speaking with Ellis.

    cheers

It does look reasonably straight forward. A few wee fiddly parts but the main build is greatly assisted with slot and tabs. Could be quite a satisfying part of the build.

All the tender loco's I've built so far have begun by my building the tender before the loco, just to "get your eye in" so to speak. Personally, I find it easier to start in this way, speaking purely as an 'Amateur' loco builder.

It does really look very straight forward. Maybe wishful thinking on my behalf but ..... we'll see. The destruction s look reasonably well detailed as well. I'll try reading them right through and identify any " questionable " parts.

    Cheers

My advice would be not to hold your breath at the moment ..........

Toto is on his hols at the moment, so maybe a brandy pickled leader may respond, but at present his loco building program is on hold. Last rumours were his MOK Q1 may get started next, and there is a threat of the 4F being progressed - We managed to free off two of the 3 axles however one had to be cut out, so a new axle is required. I can't say too much about this one as I have to complete my 4F as well .

Like yourself Bonky I'd like to see the Black 5 build as it's one of my favourate loco's ...... I'll hold off on getting the popcorn in at the moment.

    Toto over to you ..........

You need to look out for Geoff Stratford, rather than Gladiator for the Javelin Range, Geoff retained the range when he sold Gladiator to David and Trisha Hill.
