    Hi all

Looking to add sound to my Graham Farish Class 411 4/SEP

Anyone got any recommendations for a supplier with an accurate sound set, preferably on Zimo but ESU would be ok as well.

    Thanks
    Paul

Have a word with John Gymer at Yoochoos. I get all my Zimo sound chips from him. He does a great job of the CV set ups as well.

I think Olivia's Trains also do a sound file for these (I would be ESU tho') - but cant say what the sound file is like, as I don't even know what the original sounds like either.

Also try Legoman Biffo @ https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk - They also do a installations as well.

    Hi guys

    Thanks for the replies

I understand John at Youchoos, used to do a 411 but was dissatisfied with the finished result, and that those files are incorporated into his SR 2-BIL Class 401 EMU and Southern Region DC EMU Class 401 - 405 e.g. Brighton Belle, don't know if either of these are close enough to 411 so will have to do some more searching. Although the SR 2BIL audio file on Youchoos site does not sound anything like the ones I have listened to on youtube

Logomanbiffo does do a 411 and it can be put on a ESU Micro with 6 pin harness so will have to double check there is enough room to hide the extra wires

Olivia Trains also does the correct sounds but again it's on an ESU decoder so the same comment applies as with Legomanbiffo.

Will do a bit more searching and still waiting to hear back from Costal DCC in case he has a file available, although is not listed on his site

Howes and South west digital don't do this model either. Although howes do a

SR/BR 3rd rail EMU sound decoder and speaker don't know how close it is to a 411 though

You could try Rails of Sheffield, I think they do both Zimo and ESU.

Hi Thanks for the reply Pete

Had a look on Rails site, they had zero stock of anything Zimo and although they had quite a few ESU sound decoders, they had nothing for the 411 type

Looks like the closest I can fine will be either Logoman or Olivias, and I will probably go with Legoman just because Olivias ordering system is out of the Ark, who emails their card details these days, unless its for their long lost relative in Nigeria (Other dodgy counties are available) :avatar:. Although Olivias does sound good from the YouTube clips I have seen.

Now the bank holiday is over, you do the transaction via the phone.

I have a couple of Olivias ESU chips in my locos, really good, they did them while I waited as I live close to the shop. They're friendly and helpful too.

    Cheer's, Pete.
