Saw 6 British Pullman cars On offer as part of a massive railway related Collection sale at a Auction house in Melbourne Australia this afternoon, a huge amount of signs a good amount of Triang, brass models and N scale plus tin plate and a couple of live steam locos.
There was also a O scale Devon Bell Pullman observation car but it had already been auctioned by the time I discovered it. It was a real bargin at Equivalent £96 pounds it really looked good with a full load of passengers as well
The Pullman cars are RTR models, by Peter Cowling Models with full interior detail, lamps plates and cutlery etc plus even has menus on the tables
They look like they are all fitted with Kadee couplers so should make for easy coupling of the set and with a screw link at the end of the set to couple to the loco.

Just have to organise to have them shipped now
There are 6 cars in the set see some photos below from the auction catalog until they arrive and I can take some photos.

Cars are 4 Numbered and 2 Named as below.
    No31
    No54 Brake
    No55 Brake
    No171
    Penelope
    Rosemary

The one I missed Observation car a westdale Models built kit it had already been ended when I got home and found the items

    Hi Pete,

I would think they would be if they are Peter Cowling. I believe that these are all scratch built. I have some cast seats that I got from him for my Tourist stock set and they are really nice castings. I also know someone who has a rake of PC Pullmans and he says that they are superb so I would guess that Chris won't be disappointed in his purchase.

    Thanks Rob & Pete
They are O scale and by the photos online they look super
Have just spoken to the Lady at the auction place in Melbourne and she said they were the best looking items in the action to her eye and was surprised they didn’t get more bids the original
cost price apparently the seller supplied as a guide is triple what I paid so very happy to have found in Australia and at less than would cost to get 2 westdale kits sent from the uk

Just arrived by TNT freight the Pullman set
As Rob said above, “I would Guess that Chris won’t be disappointed”

Well no disappointment here, all I can say is WOW these are good and worth every bit of the sale price.
6 cars are about 9 ft of train and look very impressive lined up on the layout however they aren’t for Moonan Flats and will spend most of there time on my Dads layout.
They roll very smoothly and have sprung diaphragms at one end of each car to fill the gap between the car corridors.
A few people inside and each table is set with cutlery plates and a lamp and menu
    Happy Happy days

I fitted one spratNwinkel to one of the brakes coach, but it was the last one in the etch and I couldn’t find the new pack to do the other Brake coach will have to have a dig around and fit it up during the week.

For now here are some interior photos

It’s been suggested I paint on some of the plates to look like they actually have food on them

I am NOT impressed. A gentleman in a red suit? No tie! Empty plates? No wine glass? The service around here is dreadful and even the clientele are simply third class! :avatar:

No really, I was impressed with a glimpse through the window in the earlier pics and saw the table cloth! :faint:
