    Greetings Platform1 MRC!

    This is David Hennessey here, a 31 year old railway modeller from Merseyside in the North West of England (a town called St Helens to be precise). I've been into both the real and model railways since a young child. I've modelled in 00 and N gauges, and am currently in the process of working on a 009 layout.

    I can normally be found over on the Model Railway Layout Forums, but after a recommendation to me from Matt, via the recent Model Rail Scotland 2016 event, that I should head on over here and see what all this is about. It was good to meet some of the admin team at the event (Paul, Toto, Matt et all; if I've missed anyone out, please speak up!).

    I look forward to being part of this superb community of modellers and enthusiasts, and to making conversation and interacting with the many members here.

    Delighted to see you came over. it was a pleasure meeting and talking with at yesterdays show. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day and did not do too much damage to your bank account. :avatar:
    Please take your time and have a good rummage about. there are loads of great reads throughout the forum topics. get your feet under the table and come back to us with some more details on what you are up to with your layouts and impending exhibition.

    Welcome aboard, this is a fantastic forum,and only getting better !
    I guess that Matt, Paul and Toto were kind to you at Model Railway Scotland, otherwise you would have steered clear ! :avatar::avatar:
    Do you realise what they have lead you into..?? No, only joking, you will have a great time here and make some great friends. :thumbs:
