According to the photo's access to the gun is via a ladder, still looking for the access to the troops area.

Bob - the mount was just borrowed from the traversers lead screw, I will print a 3D version for the final model.

    Hi Ian

Got the figures from Amazon - could have got them a couple of pounds cheaper, but had a 2 to 3 week delivery date. These are the 1:48th, and can't be placed next to 1:43 figures but I should get away with just using the 1:48th in isolation.

There is more choice in the 1:35th figure ranges.

    Designed the sides

    upload_2018-11-17_0-49-50.png

The ends have been printed, and gluing in place, while the sides are now printing.

Will glue up and post pictures in the morning

Panels printed and glued in place

Next job is to fill up the gaps, then basecoat.

Then start on the infantry gun slots.

Trip to Hobbycraft for some Tamiya paint - I don't have any military based colours.

    XF-78 Woodern deck tan
    X-10 Gunmetal
    XF-49 Kharki
    XF-52 Flat Earth
    XF-62 Olive Drab
    XF-64 Red Brown

There doesn't look enough room to get a gunner in. I think I would have moved that partition back a bit.

Ok to fit Toto's Lard arse in :avatar: I've moved the rear wall (also noticed on the photo the rear wall wasn't at the change in height of the side walls )

Primer had been applied before the wall move.

Started to work on the gun slits

    upload_2018-11-17_16-16-49.png

    Now printing ........

    Will post piccies when ready

    Maybe that as well :avatar:

Just off the printer - test fit

Just need to fit the remaining wooden panels in the rear compartment.

Studying the photos, I can see the feet of the troops in the rear compartment, so will need to cut a couple of crawl spaces :headbanger:

Ah well - get those bits done and we're on to paint

Trying to find out livery colours for the camouflage on the sides.

Primer applied, and interior coat, allowing me to glue the castellations in place. Also got round the access issue by fitting a door

Airbrush has been dusted off -

Round 1 - Lets try this pre-shading malarky

Tamiya X1 - Black mixed 50:50 with Tamiya X-20A Thinner

Didn't notice till I uploaded these pics the flash has lightened considerably the black, but I have gone down each panel line.

    Round 2 - Basecoat

Tamiya XF-52 Flat Earth (couldn't find a round earth) again mixed 50:50 with Tamiya X-20A Thinner

The pre-shading is showing up really well.

Now I have to leave it to dry before applying masking tape for the camo.

Now Round 3 - or how to ruin a model - maybe - camouflage

Insulation tape was used to mask the model

    Round 4 - Green coat

Tamiya XF-62 Olive Drab again mixed 50:50 with Tamiya X-20A Thinner

Round 5 - the big reveal

Well, you can tell I'm not a military modeller ........ is this a keeper or a redo ?

Paul the wagon look really good
As far as the redo only the side in the last photo above doesn’t look as random as the prototype photos the other side looks perfectly good though
