Hi Gloria welcome to the forum.
As well as 00 gauge trains I too have a garden railway.
I too am a member of the 16 mm association. I have a 16 mm narrow gauge 32 mm track in the garden.
I run live steam with radio control and battery with radio too.
I have just finished the track layout. This spring I hope to start the buildings.
    Be seeing you
    Bob

    Hi Bob,
Thank you for the welcome lovely to see that there is another member running our gauge. I have started making a wooden carriage shed out of spare bits of wood that was in our shed have sent a photo of it to you not yet completed its in its early stages. So far on ours we have a station building 2 signal boxes 4 platforms placed around the garden, that is ongoing at the moment. We are off to Peterborough to the garden railway show in April to see what's on offer and visit our stand of anothe group we are members of Steam Model Loco. Hoping to put the loco in my avatar on display on the the stand, as it is our own design on a Roundhouse Chassis Kit
Anytime you are down this way in Cornwall please let me know as our railway is open to use weather permitting.
    My kindest regards,
    Gloria

    Hi Pete,
It's the 16mm Garden Raiway Show held at Peterborough Arena in April the date is Saturday 6th 2019, As my partner is the Co-Ordinater for the Cornish Area Group we like to show our faces and represent our area. We are hoping to have our official opening day some time this year not sure when as yet. As we are attending rallies and vintage shows.
I will send out a reminder on here before the end of March as we will be going away to attend this year's show.Hopefully we might exhibit 2 Locos. Was hoping to exhibit my carriage shed , but I don't think its good enough in my mind.See what happens.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

Thanks Gloria. I will put the date on my calendar.
Your carriage shed looks good to me, don't be shy, get it shown. If anyone knocks the build, tell them to show their effort, there are plenty of people who will point and sneer but they are usually the ones that do nothing of their own.

What rallies and vintage shows do you attend? are you exhibitors or visitors? My wife and I exhibit our vintage stationary engines in and around Derbyshire. Our first one is May day weekend near Sheffield.

    Pete.

    Hi Pete,
Thank you for your support and reply. We attend St BuryanVintage Rally here in Cornwall, Carnhell Green Vintage Rally that's also down here near Camborne, our own show where we live Grade Ruan Minor Vintage Rally on the Lizard Peninsula. Exeter Garden Railway Show at the Matford Centre Exeter, then it's the 0 Gauge Society which holds their show at Carn Brea Leisure Centre Pool which is near Redruth. If things go according to plan we hope to have a demonstration track at all of these shows again this year, except Exeter which we couldn't take our exhibition track as it was laid on my brother in laws trailer. I am looking around at the moment for our own trailer, but the prices are bit out my reach at the moment..Hopefully somebody may have one for sale as it needs to be 7ft x5ft. Our railway is always open for visits here in Cornwall. I am now in the process of trying to contact the lady that looks after the reading room here at the Lizard where we live and try and run a display for the village during Easter and the school holidays, not sure if that will happens this year as its all in the hands of partner Steph. At the rallies we attend steam engines traction engines vintage tractors cars and busses.Hope this helps,
    My kindest regards,
    Gloria..
