Hi All I have been asked to show what I am doing in the garden just now. The track is basicly just a large dog leg loop with a pssing loop where the station is to go and a siding to the engine shed. Where the whiter of the two walls is there is a tunnel under the pathway and where the dirtyer wall is the will be a removable girder bridge across the path. The loco is a roundhouse Billy live steam kit that I built and the carriage is scratch built from ply and brass with shop bought wheels.
Don't forget the whirlygig. that could be a giant O gauge carousel. little O gauge people riding on it. I think the missus may put her foot down there. It looks really great. Plenty of room for the loco to stretch its legs. I'll look forward to following this one. keep us updated as it progresses. Fantastic.http://www.click toto
Thats some challange youve got what with the weather etc but gonna be fun ... thanks for the pics Bob Ian
so that'll not hold you back - there's 79 channels availble on the 2.4G , unless someone decides to run r/c cars ...... Paul
Nice bit of work Bob in getting a garden railway on what at first looks like a difficult site Love the engine and its carriage.
Nice work...good to have steam as that track looks to get a bit of weather and I wouldn't fancy climbing up on the paved area to clean track. Looks like you can steam up while others can run trains as well when including the passing loop. Thanks for sharing. Do you have any plans for a platform/station scene?
Hi Chris Thanks for the comments The track goes under the path at the top end of the track and there is a suspension bridge a little lower down. yes I will be having a station building and platforms and a locoshed as you say the weather can take its toll so the buildings wil be indoors in bad weather. here is a couple of pics of a signal box I am just finishing. I am drawing up the Station buildings right now. I will make these on my cnc as I did with the signal box. be seeing you Bob
Awesome Bob. That lil engine is a real beauty...thanks for popping up some more pics of it. Looking forward to seeing how the station goes. Thanks for sharing.
