Slow progress is still being made. There was a big boost this week. One side of my layout is a very rough representation of the village of Ash, in east Kent. It was on the East Kent Light Railway, a Colonel Stephens line. One of its locos was this lovely 4-4-2T, just released by Oxford Rail. Hattons just sent me this lovely beast, with sound. It was sent last Friday UK time and arrived by courier at our house in Sydney on Sunday. DHL. Here's a photo, showing something of the scenery I've been working on lately.
Very nice Bruce now you need to do a video for us with the sound of the Adams chuffing through the new scenics
Thanks to both of you. I'll try to make a video Chris. I could use an ipad, a small digital camera or a four thirds camera. Which one do you think? Best to upload it to youtube and put a link here, a la GormoVision?
Whatever you can manage Bruce. You can embed the video into your post via the YouTube Gizmo just above on the reply page. That`s a great picture......I reckon it`s got to be a candidate for pic of the week. http://www.clickGormo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOHOcbWDBv8 Thanks for the tip Gormo. Let's see whether this works. Very dodgy filming, with too little depth of field. I also accelerated too quickly. Black arts to be learned here, I see. Bruce
And as if by magic ....... Picture of the week. Congratulations. I must admit, it's one of these photos that, when you look deeper into it, everything about it just works. The overall photo, the back scene, scenics and choice of loco just come together perfectly. Thanks for posting it, I'm sure it will go down a real treat with everyone. Cheers Toto
Congrats on POTW, well deserved and a great photo !! Cheers, Gary. ps. I added the video to your post !
Congrats on pic of the week Bruce......I told you so!!!!.......Had to say that.. The video is good and what a nice model. The loco crew looked like it was moving about in the cab. I had to look twice to check it.??? http://www.clickGormo
Gorm, it's a ghost railway. Think I might have to add a crew. I'm also sure that the run down second hand Stephens light railway wouldn't have had such a clean loco. But can I bring myself to add the necessary grunge?
Nice video and a lovely looking loco. I'd be a bit reluctant to go anywhere near it with a paint brush or powders.
I'm with you on this Toto. This is the first Oxford loco I've seen. The detail is exquisite and I don't want to spoil it.
