I've been scouring the net looking for some kind of micro set square. Found one with a 4 inch blade. Not exactly what I had in mind but ordered it anyway in the absence of anything smaller.

Also some new needle files, clamps steel wool and brass restorer.

I'll post up as they arrive. Hopefully they will all help make life easier in one way or another.

    Cheers

    Hi Toto,
Severnmodels are worth looking at for the odd items.

    Thanks Ed,

The two inch is about as small as I've seen.

I think I'll have one of those

If you need a small square, visit your local engineering firm and ask for an off cut of 1" square milled mild steel... They should be able to supply you with a small piece, and possibly for zero cost... ;)

    Cheers, Gary.

I was going to suggest Eileen's too, I have a 2" two 3" and a 4" of their flat stainless examples being completely flat they are really useful for marking out as well as getting things square.

If you use them in conjunction with aluminium hair grips from Eileen's you can use the clips to hold the squares in place to make sure the you solder van bodies or cabs square.

Sounds good. Ordered up a couple of 1 inch versions as well. Handy small size to have.

My tool makers clamps arrived today. I believe these will be very handy for clamping assemblies together when soldering. I'll get a photo up tomorrow.

    Cheers
