Some photos of a 37 class loco I've had for a little while but until a week ago it hadn't seen the light of day.

This was an accidental purchase I intended to get the Scottish region 37 large logo that was released at the same time but ended up with a Welsh 37 class purely because I wasn't paying attention I looked at the Scottish version decided to get it, got some other items from the hobby shop came back to the counter and picked up the wrong one they were both large logo mistake discovered weeks later after the Scottish one was sold out.
As my OO layout was no more I haven't had a chance to run this loco until last week when I needed a test bed for a new company's Beta 21 pin budget decoder.

So here it is factory weathered 37427 BONT Y BERMO
The prototype was names in 1986 to mark the return of loco hauled services across the Barmouth Bridge

The paintwork is to the usual high Bachmann standards the weathering is also very good for factory applied generic weathering. Also included is a selection of add on parts and snow plows plus etched name plates that are really very nice.
The bridge plaque near the name plate is really nicely done, both on the model and on the etch set.

Straight from the box fit decoder and on the track the performance was very good slow running exceptional.
    Pulling power very good.

On previous 37 models from Bachmann a I have had derailing issues due the the centre Axl/driving wheel being lower resulting in the bogies rocking on the center Axl this often resulted in the leading wheels running above the rail and at points or curves would go straight on and result in a derail.
This looks to have been corrected on this version of the 37 as track handeling is exceptional even over rough track.
It performed equally as well on code 75 as well as code 100 Peco.
Lighting is directional front and rear marker lights, directional head lights plus non directional cab lights

And lastly a link to a short video of it on a friends layout that is under construction.

    Hi Toto
They are indeed a nice model I have a couple of early Bachmann 37's Scottish region with the little Scotty dog that have done a few miles now and some even older Lima ones that I have fitted with ultra scale wheels
I have a bit of a leaning to the Scottish region with blue gray stock possibly as that what I remember from the 80's when we lived in Uk for a bit

It runs nicely on your friends layout, I have one I bought a couple of years ago in weathered green and it was an awful runner, just getting the wheels to turn was an effort, I stripped and oiled the bearings gears and axles which helped a bit running in helped a lot but it was still reluctant to move, once rolling there was no problem, so I gave it a 3 hour running in again in both directions, she,s now silky smooth unfortunatly I don,t run it any more as I have decided to leave OO and concentrate on 7mm, more to come on that on a different thread.

    Pete.
