Afternoon All from a very cold and icy Outer Hebrides, Oh woe is me, I have suffered a disaster on the layout and could use some help. I have a lifting section about a metre long and and forty centimetres wide supported on back flap hinges mounted on blocks at one end a support block at the other end. I caught it this morning in the vertical position and the screws failed and it collapsed. Fortunately a minor repair is all that is required to one of the buildings I really need an new one of a different design as I really was not happy with the original design. Can any one help Please!!! Regards Alan
I'm sure help will be on the way. Could you maybe post up a picture or two so that folks can get a better idea as to how it is currently built. It will help in bringing comments and suggestions from the others. There are a few members on here that have dealt with lift out sections and hatches etc. Cheers Toto

Hi Alan Lift up, lower down, swing out of the way or removable, would be the most common options. Is it the hinge system that is unsatisfactory, or the whole arrangement. Paul

I was thinking of two brackets, with two 22x8x7 bearings per bracket, and a 8mm dia steel rod as a pivot . A couple of pictures of the area would make the designs / suggestions easier. Paul
