then back to more scenic work, basically install and wire the lamp posts, add fencing the crossing gates, some bushes and airbrush the entire layout. almost ready for the snow. its been a busy busy two days.

Love it. What a beautiful scene. The snow, the lighting and the overall idyllic setting. Perfectly captured.

It just gets better and better, a great little layout . The snow will bring the front and backscene together and give the scene even greater depth. Lovely!!!

So my wife decided that one of the big trees outside of the church required christmas lights, for a festive feel.
this did cause a little head scratching. i discovered the best way to do this was to daisy chain micro LED's i started off by making a daisy chain of ten but this didnt work (to many in the chain.) after a bit of fiddling i discovered the most i could have in the chain where six.
so i made four chains of six. (i got my wife to hold the LED's while i soldered them together, well it was her idea.)
i then wrapped each chain around the tree and run the wires down the tree trying to hide the wires as much as possible, however the snow will hide it a little more.
i think the effort was worth it.

The effort was well worth it Jimmy, brilliant! Trying to convince SWMBO that we should have something similar, though perhaps not too great an idea as we have two cats who would likely chase and destroy anything moving!
