    I'm Chris = SMR CHRIS
From the Sunny Central Coast Area of New South Wales, Australia

Been associated with model trains since birth so you could say it was bread into me.
So = a model train Nut for 42years.
I do have a problem that I can't stay with just one scale so I call my self a Rubber Gauge modeller, N scale to 5" live steam.

Favourite scale to model in is O be it's 1/4" or 7mm in Narrow gauge and Standard gauge, Australian, UK, US.
Have several model railways on the go in various scale's:hammer:

I also have a liking for British OO with two era's BR late steam / Diesel and BR large logo with a Scotish leaning.

I'm Super lucky I have a wife Shelley who under stands my hobbies and let's me "play" Trains even helps out occasionally.
It works like this I get to buy a train Shelley gets to buy a Pro camera item, you know the ones my lense in bigger than yours.:faint:

Most importantly, I always feel that it is important to make your hobby fun, you will enjoy it more if your having fun!
To that end I don't understand the Rivet counter that is always finding fault but never ever gets something done them selves  =not having fun in my book.

My angle is just have a go if it works for you and your happy that perfect.

The SMR = South Maitland Railway a passion of mine as was able to ride steam on revenue coal trains when I was a kid.

They got them Toto, but you hadn't put a stamp on them :avatar:

Rubber Gauging - now that's what it stands for

This Scottish modelling malarky is catching, I was interested in the Caley before I moved up here 32 years ago, and dispite the locals trying to sway me to either Ex Caley lines or Ex North British lines, the Highland got me - probably due to there being very few buildings in the middle of nowhere - as I hate building buildings - someone remind me how on earth I decide to build an inner city based railway.
