Just bought this off the bay... not because I want to learn how to drive one but because I want the scale diagrams and info contained inside to assist in my build. This takes modeling to completely new heights.

I'm sure you could fit one of these in the drive beside the bus :avatar: we'll all pop down and help to lay a roundly roundly. It'll take some size of track pins. :avatar:

Not sure but I think I may have that manual in my shed, I was given a pile of them, all different and I think including DMU's. If I can remember in the morning I will have a look and see if I can find them and take some photos. If they are of any use to anyone you can have them. Assuming I can find them :faint:

I'd suggest using nail varnish rather than tippex, should last a bit longer and is available in a other colours than white - so I'm told.

So to gain brownie points, you can treat the better half to a bottle of Black nail varnish, and do a little quality control before handing it over.

I'll have to send SWMBO into Fenech's to get some, black nail varnish would look like grease.

Tonights time in the workshop saw the construction of the body skeleton, a very simple put together... just keep everything at right angles and upright. Just think box ! The important thing is to identify the radiator end of the base frame, this end has the cut out without tab slots or half etch lines, the radiator end upright is marked so.

It is also iportant to ensure the base frame remains totally flat, I checked this against my marble flat stone every so often. Also making sure to file any excess solder away from the base frame underside, the end result makes into a sturdy structure.

Quick update on some outstanding etches that two of you are waiting for. They're due in late next week (which will probably be early the week after ). Sorry for the delay - it's normally four working weeks but it seems they are on a three day week.

I'm using a different supplier for the next projects while they catch up.

Thanks Steve that's much appreciated and informing on the up date of the etch, I'll resume the 24 build as soon as I've finished the 21.

I know it has been quite a while since this post was last added to, but an update or continuation would be great. I was following with great interest. Thanks
