    Hi all,

I've a project in mind and I'll need a Conflat wagon.

Now I know Dapol and Bachmann produce them RTR in 00 gauge. Does anyone own either of these wagons? If so, is the container removable?

The project I have in mind will not need a load. If the container can be removed, it'll make life easier. If not, removing it will be one faff too many and I'll just go for the Parkside one.

    Cheers

    Matt

    Hi Matt,
Yes I've owner several of the Dapol and Bachmann models, I also had several from Airfix (GRM) rtr models and there were several versions from Mainline models as well. All the containers on the models I had were loose.

    Matt,

I'll add to this that they are very light weighted wagons. A nice chunk of lead can be useful with these wagons, especially if you are using Kadee couplers !

    Cheers, Gary.

Thanks Gary. I've procured an old Triang/Hornby crane with a view to tarting it up so wanted the Conflat as a match truck.

I've also seen a few photos of what seems to be a 13 ton open wagon used for the same purpose - available from Parkside - so am weighing up the options!
