I was put on to this by Rob.

The idea was that I would buy the wheels for my other 8f ( MOK kit ) from a chap on the O Gauge guild. However when I went onto their sales and wants ...... he was selling this unstated kit as well. Definitely the last for a while. There was a good saving on both the kit and the Slaters wheels. I'm sure there is a conspiracy going on.

    Cheers

Secured the deal via PayPal so just awaiting delivery. The Dave Andrews kits are quality stuff. I suspect another commission for Rob. Better start saving. :avatar:maybe even a little research on specific 8f locomotives. I'll be looking for 3 examples now.

    Cheers

I think I have struck gold here. I opened this up for a quick look and the brass etched sheets and nickel silver stuff look like they have never been removed from their wrapper.

The cast parts look very good and the wheels all present and correction their original packaging. Even the box looks like it's never been opened.

Just whilst on this thread, opinions for a motor and gearbox .... also .... flywheel if necessary. Cheers.

    Looking good so far.

Still no photos as yet as I'm half smashed on red wine ....... merlot ....... wonderful stuff. Anyway, I did have another look at this kit and opened up the etches ....... flabberghasted ..... in fact ..... my flabber has never been so ghasted. These must be amongst the best I have ever seen. What a shame they landed in my hands.

The white metal casts are really Bob on and the lost wax fittings are first class as well. Just an amazing kit. :faint:
