Whilst at the Bingham rail show last Sunday I bought a DJ Models BR J95, this is the updated model and I like the fact that you can add a decoder through the smokebox door! I took it to work this morning to start the running in process in DC on the rolling road and it spent 3 hours going in different directions without a problem. I'm now waiting for the decoder to arrive and introduce the loco to Sheringbourne. Cheers Ron
I read a review of this loco Ron, and just wish all manufacturers would note this novel decoder fitting approach.....it would make decoder fitting so much easier, and no taking a loco apart and voiding the warranty either. I met Dave Jones at the Loughborough exhibition last year, and He seems to know what customers want and designs things accordingly. What a shame Hornby don't employ someone like him! Keith.
Agreed and he's taken on board some of the faults with the first batch and rectified them for this second batch. Not perfect but I'm no rivet counter!! Cheers Ron
