G`day Folks, Welcome to another edition of Gormo`s Shed. This time we are still on my drop down bridge but tackling the other side opposite my factory complex. The factory complex was initially intended to have magnets attached to it to keep it attached, however due to it`s irregular shape and the location it slotted into, the magnets were not necessary to keep it secure. It looks after itself. Not so, however, on the other side of the tracks. A different shape and a different set of rules to play by. This new removable module is very narrow and long and curved and I guess one could say, due to it`s shape, potentially unstable and prone to accidental damage. Therefore the use of magnets to anchor the module to the bridge is entirely necessary and sensible. Mind you there are other methods that would work but once the magnets are installed, they are simplicity itself to use. Anyway enough waffling and deliberating from me......let`s have a look at the video. 12mins 32secs running time Securing Removable Scenery With Magnets on YouTube http://www.clickGormo
Just watched it myself, excellent once again. Now I'll be looking forward to the scenics on the lift out panel ! Cheers, Gary.
Id say one of the best yet Gormo. Some real workmanship there and a first class conclusion. Thanks again for your efforts. Cheers Toto
Well filmed, well explained. Thanks for the time you take for your input Gormo. Looking forward to the next bit Andrew Sandbar & Mudcrab Railway
Nice one Gormo , its given me some ideas to try on Wheeldon to hold the removable buildings secure . Pete.
Thank you all above who have replied, Pete I`m glad it has given you an idea there for your buildings. I imagine it would be fairly easy to set up a building with magnets inside ......especially in the bigger gauges. http://www.clickGormo
