    G`day Folks,

Welcome to this 66th episode of Gormo`s Shed.

This week we are looking at four things, three of which will be common knowledge to the more experienced people in the hobby, however not everyone in the hobby is experienced, so there are some simple tips for the newcomers.

The fourth item is another one of my adventures into trying any material available for use on model railways.

Check it out and see what you think.

Great entertainment value as well, glad I'm not the only person who keeps kicking over a trammel/metal ruler :avatar:

Didn't matter where I left it, I kept knocking it over. Got so fed up, I screwed a cup hook into the end of a shelf and hung it up.

Good tip though, I could have drilled a couple of hole at the required length to measure my curves, instead of using a piece of setrack as a template

    Thanks Gary,

I`ve just had a suggestion come through from one of the guys on YouTube that the mat could be used as track underlay. I think it would be perfect and you would be able to do a lot of track from one mat.

    Thanks Ed,

Well I don`t think I even knocked the trammel.???....it seemed to take off under it`s own steam....who knows????....:avatar::avatar::avatar::avatar:

But you get to the point where some things just keep getting knocked onto the floor all the time, so something has to be done about them. That ruler is normally hooked up in the workshop.

I used it many years ago to mark out track for a circular fiddle yard / return loop which went down to small radii, so I was drilling my radius holes at 2 1/4" for that job. Once the trammel was centred on the board it was easy to accurately mark out each track.

    Glad you enjoyed it..
