    G`day Folks,

Jump on board and I`ll show you how I did this with pastels and hairspray.

The technique is quite simple, however there is room for improvement. Masking areas would allow a bit more control over the end result, but all that comes with practice.

Here`s the other side which was done first and convinced me that this may work.

We got a reasonable result on the roof as well

So folks....if you want to know how it was done.?????.........it`s all in the video below.

    Gormo,

    Looks great. Wow.

Looks like you relic'd them. That is left them out in the garden for 3 months in the elements to make some thing new look old without too much time.

Is that going meet the safe working criteria?

By the look of the springs and brake gear I reckon it should be condemned :avatar:

Might give this method a go on my 16 tonners (when I can find time) and I've got a couple of old wagons to try it out on first.

You briefly mentioned weathering powders Gormo, any idea what's the difference between pastels and say the Humbrol powders, apart from obviously price?

    Yes Toto,

    It`s a piece of cake really........easy peasy.!!

There is room for improvement with the technique though.???.....eg. masking areas and maybe disassembling.???.....but there you are???....it`s like anything in life.....the more you practice the better you become and keep an open mind and allow yourself to learn new things.
