A great effort and very well done. I particularly like the rust encrusted on the window frames. Now that the first one is completed....? Cheers and happy modelling Richard
Well done . Finished and under budget too, brilliant!!!!! Whats the plan for the next project? (we won't let you rest on your laurels for long on here mate ) Cheer's, Pete.
The rock face is bit of old broken roof slates i got free from work Now enjoying the fruits of my labour http://www.click captain pugwash
I said it was real rock! I am always scouring the garden, roads, car parks, etc. looking for stuff. Just sort it out when you get home and you have a huge range of stones, twigs, sticks etc available to suit all landscapes and it is free! Cheers and happy modelling Richard
I am always on the look out for stuff I can use. One of the places I take Bear for a walk is an old colliery spoil tip, theres always bits of coal left over. I use them as rock faces, its very effective. Pete.
the coal in the staithe and the trucks is real coal from my bucket, i used moss of my roof, soot from my log burner, and real soil on the engine shed floor http://www.click captain pugwash
If that's your first layout attempt, I can't wait to see what the next one looks like when you've moved house and got settled in. Just goes to show that you don't necessarily need lots of expensive scenic bits and bobs to come up with a great layout, well done Cap'n! Keith.
