We've got visitors coming over tomorrow so I was under strict instructions not to get too many toys out of my box ... its damp and cool so a small project was needed to occupy me so ... take one old Hornby 4 wheeled coach (this one was 50p some years ago as it had a chipped roof and no couplings) and remove the chassis (that'll make another project)

I used a toilet roll inner as it was pre rolled and braced it with some offcuts of laser cut composite

    Covered it in Scalescenes paper

Stuck a chimney on top and hey tinto sorted (and no mess) .. I also added a water tank on the end from odd bits.

That old Hornby grounded Victorian 4 wheeler coach looks just like the ones which used to exist in the woods around Rudyard Lake where families used them as Summer holiday homes in the 1950's.

I hear what you guys are saying with regards the " Like " button. We decided intentionally to disable it from the start as we thought that it could encourage people to simply " Like " a post rather than actually comment on the post ..... a bit like facebook does. However, I have no objection to trialling it and seeing how it goes. It could always be reversed again at a later date if it were to prove to be detrimental to how the forum was working.

    cheers

    Hi Toto,
It depends on how you look at it. I don't tend to comment unless I have something useful to add whereas I would tick like

Fair point. On that basis it probably works. Sometimes you do read a thread that is quite active but you struggle to post anything to actually " add value " to the thread. However a " like " shows your appreciation of the thread in absence of a worthwhile response / comment.

    Fair play.
