Bought this at the Glasgow show. unfortunately they did not have any others. just like their loco's, ........ they weigh a ton. nicely finished but will look better weathered and with some lighting. cheers toto
Beautiful model Toto, I agree she would benefit from a little weathering, not to much, also, personally I would change the couplings for something like Kaydees, 3 links are fiddly enough without corridor connections hiding them! Cheers, Pete.
Are these "0" gauge coaches easy to get into Toto? I'd guess fitting LED lighting would be easy enough though I suppose you'd have to fit pickups to the wheels to supply the power. I was given a 'freebee' mag at the Newark show, and reading a review of some new Bachmann '00' gauge coaches, they come with fitted pickups for easy lighting fitment.......about time manufacturers thought along these lines, although RRP for these was £59.99....Ouch! Keith.
Hi Keith, not tried to break into them as yet. I need to get another couple to make it worth my while then do them all with lighting, people etc all at the one time. I'll need to have a look at the couplings Pete. I didn't even think about the corridor connections getting in the way. cheers Toto
Not knowing anything about "0" gauge stuff, do they still use the standard NEM pockets or is there a larger pocket version for "0" gauge? I've found Kadee's to be spot on, but they might be a bit small for the larger gauges. Keith.
I've not had a proper look myself yet Keith. I will take a closer look and post up a few more picture of what's there. cheers toto
If I remember correctly you have to remove the roof pipe work and then the roof. It's a fiddly job but can be done
