    Hi all,

I have a couple of Worsley Works Gloucester DMU (Class 100) etches (Sides and ends) that I would like someone to build for me and mount on a suitably modified set of chassis (Dapol class 121 for the powered vehicle). I have a slight shake in my hands that is okay for general work, but precludes precision soldering, especially when precise square joints are required.

Is there anyone out there who would be able and willing to help me out with these? If so please drop me a PM with a rough idea of price, etc.

    Best

    Scott

    Hi Scotty,

No takers on the N gauge build. :scratchchin: I thought someone may have knew of s third party somewhere that does them. Must be someone somewhere. Do you not have any contacts within the N gauge society that you could call on ?

Personally speaking Toto I suspect kit building to N Scale is a wholly different ball game.

Yes, I suspect so but someone must be doing it or the kits wouldn't be there. You'd need the precision of a jeweller.

Maybe there is an opening on Platform1MRC for an N gauge kit builder.

    Hi chaps,

I think there are more than a few builders out there, but none I've found so far taking on commision work.

Looks like I'll have to try and see what I can do. Unfortunately the kit is the only route to what was a very Scottish DMU.

I'm awfully sorry Scottystitch but for me N Gauge is just way too small to work on, I know I often scratch tiny items but these are inert pieces so I wish you luck in finding a builder who specializes in the smaller gauges.

I have to agree, I have enough problems at times with 00 gauge, and N gauge would be a step too far for me too.

No worries, guys. No need to apologise, just one of those things.
