    Just received this from an Ebay seller, missing the smokebox door dart (I have several spare!) and front coupling (which I won't bother with anyway) for £70 with all accessory bits still bagged up and boxed with all the paperwork. Already ordered a 6 pin (Laisdcc) decoder, so quite a bit cheaper than Kernow's list price of a shade under £130. I'll be removing the 'Southern Sunshine' lettering and giving it the BR treatment shortly.

    Replaced and painted the smokebox dart, decals and smokebox numberplate fitted and just managed to squeeze a couple of crew on board. DCC decoder is an easy fit, no need to remove the body, just take off the smokebox door (held by 2 small magnets), ease out the tiny PC board, unplug the DC board, substitute the decoder, feed the PC board back in, pop the smokebox door back on and job done!

    There's so little space on the footplate that I had to amputate one of the fireman's legs and glue him partway out of the cab to be able to get both crew in! At least the missing leg can't be seen from outside.:giggle:

    Lovely little loco Keith. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    I purchased one last year at a bargain price and just like yours, everything was included in the accessories bag. Great little runner too. I'll need to fit a decoder into my loco, but wouldn't sound be great...!Then again, if I fitted sound, the driver and fireman would have no legs at all, let alone one !! :avatar:

    Cheers, Gary.

    At least the driver's and fireman's legs are not really visible in the cab. I used HO figures in mine, although it was a fiddly job getting them in.

    They are a nice model, although I found on mine the brake rigging fouls my third rail. It is such a nice little model, I still haven't been able to bring myself to weather mine yet.

    Hi Gary. Having had the body off (one tiny screw under the rear coupling), if you were to take out the PC board and wire in the smallest Zimo sound decoder direct, It might just be possible to squeeze in one of the smallest 'sugar cube' speakers. It's not something I've considered as I have enough (13 at last count) DCC sound fitted loco's, and you CAN have a bit too much sound!:avatar:
