    :eek: shock :eek: horror :eek: how could you cast aspersions on Hornby's quality control it's second to none - that is Hornby's quality control came in second place to none :avatar:

    The other option may be to remove the plug and wire direct, at least you have control over your own quality.

    :avatar::avatar: sorted now Paul, just the switcher to sort, all ok without the body on but because of the 2 flywheels it's a pain getting the body on without causing the thing to run properly!!

    Not surprised at the Hornby QC mess up Ron. As I said on Friday, knowing Hornby of old, try reversing the plug, although having said that, with the plug in what Hornby show as the correct position, it's usually none of the lights working, so if you had working lights in just reverse, then that's one fault I've not come across before! :facepalm:
