Looking forward to seeing the sector plate take shape, and the video of you playing with big trains Of course, you got the loco's chipped yet or are you going old school DC Paul
Not chipped yet but they will be. May test them out on DC until I get the decoders ordered and fitted. I may even have a couple in stock. Can't remember what they take, 8 or 21 pin. If the second board turns out like the first, I'll be happy. ....... Rock solid. ...... But heavy

You never know Gary. Anything is possible. My Y point arrived today along with track joiners. Waiting for a second Ixion Fowler to arrive. Probably tomorrow. Home tomorrow from Caithness. Shower, coffee, into car and drive down to Sellafield ( 4.5 hours ) for a second interview on Friday morning at 10.00 am. First interview ( on phone on Monday night ) went very well.fingers crossed. Cheers Toto
Good luck with the interview Toto er ... I wouldn't mention the word 'goat'... I've found the world isn't quite ready yet Ian
A 4.5 hour drive for a job interview..? Wow, that is commitment. I trust that they won't expect you to drive 9 hours a day, to and from work...! You may as well be a truck/courier driver, or a 'white van man', doing distances like that. Ha ha, if I'm correct, you're already a white van man ! Good luck with the goat tomorrow, I mean interview... Cheers, Gary.
Thanks Gary, It'll be the usual travel down early Monday am and back up on the Friday afternoon to arrive home early evening.
Cheers Chris. I've just arrived about half an hour ago. I have managed to find the bar. I'll limit it to one or two ........... Dozen http://www.click I should know tomorrow if I have suitably impressed or failed dismally. The first interview on the telephone went very well. This time the Commercial Director is sitting in. Fingers crossed. Toto
Look on the bright side, if you the job at sellafield, you'll save a fortune on layout lighting as you'll glow in the dark Paul
Just think, if you get the position at Sellafield, Hattons is only 155 miles down the road ! Cheers, Gary.
G`day Toto, Just trying to catch up with the goings on.........holey moley mate!!!.....that`s one wee ripper of a baseboard. If you get sick of model railways, just turn it upside down and you can use it as a boat..!!!! A quality build my friend.......well worth the effort. http://www.clickGormo
Hi chaps, Back from Sellafield. The feedback from the interview was excellent. We are now in a posturing position for " agreeing a package " which should be officially turned into an offer of employment. It could still go sour yet but hopefully their offer will reflect the current market and let us reach an agreement. The job sounds good. Gormo, The baseboard is very robust. Baseboard two will need to be the same. I hope to start on that tomorrow. My Y point has arrived so I will be able to lay the track out loose to see if it works. I'll post up some photos as usual . Cheers for now. Toto
Good luck with the job Tom, does that mean moving South of the border?? CheersRon (Hopefully moving 11/8/16!!)
Hi Ron, It means travelling down on a Monday and back up on a Friday. Same routine that I currently do. I have a further three interviews next week with a potential for more. The phone hasn't stopped ringing. Not a bad position to be in. Also a reasonable chance of work on my doorstep which means getting home through the week should the terms be agreeable. The market is buzzing at the moment. Cheers Toto.
