    The pithead and screen have just been painted in NCB blue after the take-over by the government. As anyone who has worked for a large corporation and been taken over knows, painting everthing in the new colours increases production and improves morale.

    (done that when I worked for John Lysaght Steel and taken over 100% by BHP)

    Another view of the colliery. The yard lights, Screens and loco shed all have lights fitted, but unplugged whilst working on the improvements.

    Excellent Peter, some great shots. I like how the colliery has its on loco, the Bagnall, always awaiting duties...! :thumbs:
