I have one of the Bachmann/NRM Deltics bought at Warley a couple of years ago, no sound though!

When I visited Shildon NRM not long ago, the "Deltic" prototype was on display there. Hadn't seen that loco in 60 years since it was trialled on the ECML through Retford 'When I were a lad'!(....and that's a long time ago!):giggle: Still a big impressive lump!(the loco, not me!)

Yer, used to watch it from my primary school going through Grantham, all the boys would stand up in class and stare out the windows!! (Did that when we heard a Streak whistle as well!!)

Has to be in O gauge for sound - when Toto and I were at Glasgow show, we were at Legomanbiffo's stand, the Deltic had two of the Earth Mover speakers ans a tweeter fitted, you could feel the engine start through you feet.

I see there are intentions of producing the 'new' Deltic in about 6 different versions, so which one are you after Ron?
I also have a Heljan DP2 "Deltic" lookalike with sound fitted, but as DP2 only had a single 16CSV engine rather than twin Napier engines, it'd be no good just swapping over the sound DCC decoder/speaker to the "Deltic", I'd need to get it reblown with the correct sounds.....not that bothered to be honest. Now you've bought Rob's 3 Pullman coaches, they'd look great behind a"Deltic"!!!:giggle: Keith.

I'll pass, a good price for an OO loco with sound is £64! Class 40 at Hattons, there may be some left, but I didn't just buy one, at that price!
