I believe what I'm about to do is common among the model railway fraternity ..' change my mind' I've seen a new plank I want to build 130cm x 25cm. It was in Model Rail and I decided the minute I saw it I was going for it. It'll be almost as it in the picture with some sort of traverser included in the dimensions and will be called Jayfield.

Quite liked the look of that myself Ian, but in O gauge, then I thought I haven't finished any of the projects I have started already :avatar: so I've tucked the article away in my projects folder for future reference .

    Nice Ian
I'm liking the version on the left with the extra siding options.

    Looking good.

Now a wee warning about the traverser, just remember the overhang at the rear of the layout, for the front traverser track to access the rear track, you will have two tracks beyond the rear edge of the baseboard, so you will need to allow extra distance from the wall.or in the case of Victoria Road explains the odd shape to allow the traverser to extend into the window area of the Railway room (as I like to call it).

Looking forward to see how you tackle the traverser Ian. What kind of drive are you using to power it or will it be manuel ..... ..... er , I mean manual. :avatar:

The traversers that Paul is doing will also work with individual O gauge planks .......... Sort of universal provided you stick to the same baseboard depths. ......... Very handy.

    Cheers

You just knew it would happen .. I'm messing again .. however its for sensible reasons .. I realised as usual I'd over complicated/overpriced the design with double/triple slips (on order). the original design looks and works better without extras .. so.. the Jayfield wagon works
