Just wondering what others use for working platform lights. I bought some P & D Marsh BR T shape station lamps (obviously not working lights) and although the right style for early 1960s, I think I'd prefer some working lights and somehow they don't look quite right. I've had a look at Kytes (bit pricey), but they don't really have anything that fits the period. http://www.kyteslights.com/ Also found this mentioned by a few people on another forum. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/WEHONEST/Lampposts-Lights-/_i.html?_fsub=2611472012&_sid=149381402&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 (name made me grin as well, but they appear to be ok). These ones in particular look an acceptable style, as I don't think anyone produces working T shape lamps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-x-OO-HO-gauge-Led-Street-Lights-Model-Train-Lamps-Railway-Lamp-posts-612-/152025711843?var=&hash=item690f05de8a Anybody else used them, or have any ideas? Ed
Hi Ed, try layouts4u. I've bought a few things from them. They seem to be ok. http://www.layouts4u.net/oolampposts.html cheers toto
I've dealt with "We Honest" on several occasions, and can't fault them, so you should have no problems. Keith.
That's interesting .......... the range of lights on layouts4u look remarkably similar to the lights supplied by WeHonest Thanks guys. Ed
It's not really suprising considering how much stuff is "Made in China" these days, and "WeHonest" do state on their site that they do wholesale, so "Layouts4U" probably get their supplies from"WeHonest". Keith.
