Hi Toto, paul, and other forum boffins,

Is there a size limit to the photo albums?

I tried to upload a lot of photos from my trip to a heritage railway museum but it topped out at 50mb and wouldnt allow anymore

Do i need to shrink my photos or create another album as i have more i would like to share?

    Cameron

Cameron, how big are your photos - while each of mine are well over 2MB each when I take them but I crop & resize down to under 1000 pixels wide and get about 300kb per photo.

    G`day Cameron,
I just checked some of your recent photo uploads. They are showing a Pixel size of 3264 x 2448 and 1721.93 kilobytes. ( 1.7mb)
Ideal size would be under 1000 pixels wide.........maybe 1000 X 600..???? which would reduce the kilobytes down to 500 or less or about a third or less of what you have up there now.
There is free software from Faststone which is simple to use and safe and can batch convert your pics for you. Doing one at a time is tiresome if you have a lot.
    http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
The settings in the software can be set to standard parameters so you can upload the same size each time from day 1.
The reduced size pics should upload and open much quicker and they will display at a good size in your threads.
The reduction in size also conserves space for storage on the forum.
As an example ....this is one of my pics which has been reduced to 1000 x 563 pixels @ 142 Kb

Hope this has been of some assistance

Sorry Cameron......I missed this question first time through here.
Go to media up the top of the HOME page.
    Click on Your Album
When the ALBUM appears click on that.
When the pictures in that album appear, click on the picture you want to delete.
The picture will open into a larger format.
Above the picture you will see a menu in a blue bar.
Click on the RUBBISH BIN icon and that should delete the picture.
    :tophat:Gormo
    PS......just found a simpler method...!!!
Same as before but no need to open the picture into the larger format.
Once you can see your pics you will notice there is a small check box in the top left hand corner of each pic.
If you click on the check box it will give you a menu with the option to delete
    I`m still learning too.......sorry chaps

    Gormo, Sol, Toto

I can't find the rubbish bin icon.

Could you please post a screenshot showing where it is.

I can find my album/media, when I select it, an option box pops up but there is no delete option or icon.

My specs are I am using a macbook pro, IOS 10.10.5, I have tried this on three browers: Safari, Firefox, and Brave

    Ok Guys,
I have taken a couple of screen shots
This is the menu that should appear when you open the picture in the large format I mentioned above.

    Screenshot at 2018-02-28 21-48-35.jpeg

And this is the menu you should get when you click on the check box in the corner of the pics in your album

    Screenshot at 2018-02-28 21-49-54.jpeg

I fear you will reply and tell me that you don`t have these options.

    Please confirm.

In the meantime I will have a look at your settings in the Admin panel and see if I can find a solution.
