    Hi.
Maybe I'm missing something but is there a way to reverse the order of the posts displayed (i.e. newest post first)? Just a tad fed-up of having to scroll down and through pages to find latest post.
    Cheers

    Tom

Don't think so (never tried) but if you are on a thread you have visited before you will see the upload_2018-5-26_11-42-11.png option displayed at the top left just above the first post.
Clicking on it will take you to the last post you read.

That's the feature that I liked... in many places (such as FB posts) the newest are at the top (until someone comments on an old one, then it pops to the top and pretty soon there is no order... it's chaos). I like that you see the posts in order that they were put on. And having the ability to "go to first unread" is Great also as if you are following a thread, you don't want to page through tens of pages to find where you left off. This is a great place to be - Platform1MRC.com. I like it, thanks for being here so I could accidentally discover you.

Hello there Gene :hismiley:, from another members perspective I started out finding P1MRC pretty much also by chance through a conversion build I was doing at the time, anyway Google threw up this thread on a similar build by our esteemed Moderator Kimbo and that was me started. I've made some very good friends here and their offers of help and support surpass many other forums by a mile, I don't think I'm wrong in saying that and of course more folk are joining every week because for the very same reason they too like what they see here. Now I model in O Gauge and don't know a lot about American or Continental set ups but please ask away if you need something and I too will try and help if I can. I am as folk will say a mine of useless information:avatar: and a stickler for detail.

    cheers for now York Paul

York Paul, Thanks for the offer of useless information, but I've got so much of that stored in my brain I've got room for little else. Ha!
As O Gauge is the one scale that I've managed to stay out of (I did operate a 7 mm British layout several times at exhibitions and almost got dragged into it) I know that the useless information that you might offer may be not only an update to my useless information but without a doubt it will be at least twice the size of my normal useless information. I thank you for that. I do pay attention to all scales because I can often glean something from an idea or technique that I can use in one of my projects.
Maybe I should say that I have managed to stay out of O gauge... so far. You never can tell what changes are yet to happen in our lives. I thought that I had stayed clear of Narrow Gauge, but It got me last year at an exhibition when I bought a Roco 009 starter set. I'm still too busy with other projects in HO, N and OO scales but I keep buying the darned little 009 stuff. Now I have two locos and two power units just in case I start a layout in that scale. The closest I have gotten to O gauge since I gave away my old Lionel 3-rail back in the early 60's has been some On30" locos and stock that I've been asked to sell from a departed friends estate. I do want to sell it, I just haven't tried too hard yet.

BTW, I'm located in Knaresborough, N. Yorkshire (UK) (just in case there's another N. Yorkshire somewhere on the planet)

Thanks for the Info Gene, I'll answer you back on your own intro thread so we are not swamping Tombee3D's original enquiry.
