    having been away from modelling for a while I have decided a new approach is needed so I've redesigned the track plan from this;

    St Emelia.jpg

to this; 45cm traverser on left

Could you fit another fiddle yard on the left hand upper level, the same as the right side, above the traverser.
Just thinking 4 sidings, with three trains you could shuttle them end to end, while running operating the lower level yourself - you could even get your hard weeno to run it as against the red vino for break times, I cant advocate drinking and driving, pouring vino down an Arduino can have some serious side effects :avatar:

got a Mr Rails shuttle somewhere Paul but you're right it would be a good opportunity to have a go at the 'hard we know' mmm :scratchchin: one thing though I have noticed about the box of thingy stuff … taking the lid off can break a nail if you're not careful

ok this is it .. no more fiddling, honest, promise .. well …. however this gives me a shunting puzzle and … because of the lack of points a passenger/freight line that will accommodate my Bachmann, Hornby, Mainline and Triang Dmu, EM2 and Brush type 2 etc.. I mean that's it sorted innit .. and only 3 points total .. that's got to be good eh .. what do you reckon .. a month? I've got the station, factory, goat, signal box and a set of crossing gates, Triang bit crude but they'll do.

I think you'd better watch ......SWIMBO has an eye on your layout. She's either thinking of having a bash at it herself ..... Or..... She's finkin, what room will get decorated as a result of this. :avatar: I'm telling you....... watch out.

    Cheers

didn't realise she was watching me till I looked at the picture .. I know what she's thinking ... 'never seen him show as much enthusiasm for my hobby of 'handbag collecting' it's a dangerous world mate.

2nd layer of cork down and hardboard cut for downloaded MRS retaining wall and factories backscenes. Also revised track plan (there's a surprise) as I realised the lower level fiddle yard was unnecessary due to having 3 separate mini layouts within the 1 plank) hoped to have been track laying tomorrow (Thurs 15th) but friends of a friend of a friend visiting …?

Wednesday? is it? you sure? well that's tinto for you .. I've got either Triang type 1

    cat 1.jpg

    or type 2

    cat 2.jpg

or the Hornby masts .. but as this layout is all about running modern and Triang locos I rather like the type 2, with a bit of weathering it'll pass the 3' rule

I only knew it was Wednesday 'cos it says it on the task bar on the PC :(

Think the type 2 looks better, you must have had them a while.

Think that's what it's called Ian, but I don't use Windoze so it could be called something else.

Wouldn't' worry, I went shopping this morning and when I came back I was convinced it was Thursday ........................... must be age :(

Well done for keeping the catenary, it goes for mega bucks on that internet auction site.

Cheers Ed I only kept it because of my EM2 and steeple car from way back .. glad I did now, and using it allows you to run 2 locos on the same track … sort of a flintstones version of ac/dcc
