Visited the South Devon Railway yesterday for their Winter Steam-Up. Not dissapointed even though the weather was rotten. They had 5 engines in steam which were 3205, 1349, 6412, 5542 and a Beattie Well Tank. Pics to follow this afternoon once I've sorted them.

Ooh! That car's far too American, nobody will buy that!! (Remembered my Dad saying that when he first saw a Corsair!) ..

First Steam Special into Devon and Cornwall this weekend. It will be Braunton (alias Lord Dowding) and Royal Scot so watch out for the pics. Journey to Penzance will be tomorrow afternoon and the journey back to Paddington on Sunday.

I always liked the Corsair styling. It looked far more modern than the contemporary Cortina.

Some great photos there, Bittern. Thanks for sharing them.

Great images. These engines look like they have only been around a short while ..... Not decades. Hats off to those who maintain them. :tophat:

    Cheers

It's 46100 'Royal Scot' Ron. That's the trouble with LMS locos, they all look the same.

Been out and about again so will post some pics tomorrow after sorting them. Amongst them will be Tornado and a new entrant (5526) from the SDR now that it is back from overhaul.
