Visited the South Devon Railway yesterday for their Winter Steam-Up. Not dissapointed even though the weather was rotten. They had 5 engines in steam which were 3205, 1349, 6412, 5542 and a Beattie Well Tank. Pics to follow this afternoon once I've sorted them.

First Steam Special into Devon and Cornwall this weekend. It will be Braunton (alias Lord Dowding) and Royal Scot so watch out for the pics. Journey to Penzance will be tomorrow afternoon and the journey back to Paddington on Sunday.

Herewith the images promised. In this instance 34052 'Lord Dowding' is in reality, 'Braunton'. 'Great Britain X' entering a drizzly Plymouth North Road Station hauled by No. 34052 'Lord Dowding' and No. 46100 'Royal Scot'. Whilst waiting for the steamers this came by. No. 43172 'Harry Patch'. Next one is the Atlantic Coast Express (Clan Line) on the 27th followed by the Cornishman (Tornado outbound, Class 59/2 return as 60103 is having a short break on the Bodmin and Wenford for 4 days) on the 29th.
Been out and about again so will post some pics tomorrow after sorting them. Amongst them will be Tornado and a new entrant (5526) from the SDR now that it is back from overhaul.
