Today’s progress saw both the gated sections finished off plus last weeks work inside the shade house finishing off the point work, passing / storage loops.

Most of the shade house wiring is now done, but still plenty to do.

    Ralph

Good Days work yesterday Ralph. I recon another three days like that should have the trackwork done ready for wiring
That last picture looking up the incline just seems to go on forever, just needs your new baby running down the track with a few coaches.
Looking forward to the day

Today’s efforts before the sun and heat got the better of us..... a milestone achievement ,the first 50m loop is now complete and the 10m twin tracks to the potting shed will be next to be completed. Plus a quick mock up of the pointwork inside the potting shed where the large storage area will be located, we should be able to store 1 x 3.8m and 4 x 3.2m trains....

    Ralph.

Twin tracks to potting shed done:thumbup:

    Glue will dry clear..

And a revised plan for the storage in the potting shed, these lines line up with the five lines on the traverse in the garage.......

So just another 16 lengths to lay on the inner loop. But while the temperature today is 34 degrees, it’s time to retire to the shade for a well earned cuppa!!

    Ralph

Ian, what Ralph has done is amazing when you realise he only started construction in mid May this year, so what you see today is less than 6 months work. He has other interests / hobbies as well so does not work on it every day. I think he’s progressed so quickly because of the materials he’s used, which really went together quite easily once the first section was completed where we learnt a lot and formed a construction plan for the rest of the build.
I’m sure there will be chuffing sounds coming from his garden by Xmas.

So, is this a complete loop now? Any chance of a cab-view video? :)
