As per usual my back of an envelope approach to modelling has resulted in the makings of the water tank, not very exciting I know but, hey ho it will get better than a tank on sticks-promise.;)

Cracking build, I will enjoy watching it progress. For the best results, it's easiest to do the wall ghost sign weathering in the picture software, rather than in the real world after printing. For text, you can even download a font that is "worn".
If I had the originals, I could do a better job, but you get the idea on your pinched low res.

A bit more work on the water tank, it's no longer just a tank on stilts, just needs the ladder and pull chain to finish the construction phase. The water bag is a piece of plastic tube flattened in the bench vice I think it captures the look.

Well the tank build phase is finished, now to slap on some paint. One more building to complete and then I can get on with the scenic work and play trains. No I can't ! I have some track to build and lay all 300 mm of it. I must admit to be struggling with an ear infection and waiting on the hospital to get back with the swab results. I keep losing my balance so my work rate has slowed.

Taking a break from buildings, I thought why not do a bit of scenic bodging. The map shows the location of the pit, followed by a photo of the type of area and finally a couple of photo's of the bodge as work in progress. Some of the white bits you can see is wet white glue, couldn't wait for it to dry before doing a happy snap.- sad I know.

Spent an enjoyable day in the shed (gentleman's retreat) building a railcar from a kit purchased from Alphagraphix at Guildex. Everything fitted, no fettling required, nice simple instructions and exploded diagrams. It still needs a motor/gearbox and the roof and glazing fitting after painting. I still have to tidy it up and give it a good clean but I'm quite pleased with the result so far. Just noticed I will need to adjust the tie bar on the fuel tank side

The Hudswell is nicely weathered. I like the birdcage lift as well. A nice scene.

    Cheers
